The more I grow through presence, the more I see the common thread of divinity from which the earth and all its inhabitants—nature, wildlife, man—have been woven.
I see myself in the mountains, oceans, trees, flowers and clouds—in all of nature.
I see myself in birds, dolphins, elephants, turtles and deer—in all wildlife.
I see myself in babies, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and elderly—in people of all ages.
I see myself in Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, Lao Tzu and Krishna—in all the great teachers.
I see myself in Africans, Asians, Hispanics, Indians and Europeans—in all ethnicities.
All—nature, wildlife, man—are God manifest in various forms. All are in me and I in them.
And, all are in YOU.
When we abuse, disrespect or mistreat the planet, animals, and our fellow man, we also do it to ourselves.
This is why our heart aches when we see the oceans poisoned with trash,...
The spiritual journey of awakening is a journey towards Self-realization. It consists of liberation from the ego—from anger, jealousy, envy, greed, bigotry, worry, anxiety, imagination, and fear. All negative emotions pertain to the ego, the false self. The spiritual journey of awakening is one of liberation from the false self in pursuit of aligning with our true Self, the soul.
At birth we are body, mind, and soul, but in a very short time, our ego develops and we gain an identity that defines us physically, mentally, emotionally, and psychologically.
The ego is a mask—a fragile, false identity—that shields us from our true nature. The more we identify with our thoughts, feelings, and physical characteristics, the further we remove ourselves from our true Self.
The natural process of developing an ego occurs at the expense of the soul. The power hungry ego takes control while the gentle soul slowly recedes into the background and...
If you look closely at your life, you will realize that everything happens for a reason because everything is connected. You can observe this cause/effect relationship in nature. It exists everywhere. There is a cause or reason for everything that occurs, no matter how big or how small.
If you want to understand how you became the person you are today, all you have to do is look at your past. You are the sum total of all the thoughts, beliefs, decisions, and actions you have made in your life up to right now.
Unless you are making efforts to be present, your ego is largely responsible for who and what you have become because, when you are not present, your ego is in charge. The ego wants to look and feel good about itself, and appear good to others, so it makes decisions and acts accordingly. The ego is capable of wreaking havoc because the ego generally puts its needs and desires above the concerns of others, even those you love. The...
I recently started attending bikram yoga classes. If you aren't familiar with bikram yoga, you may know it's other name, "hot yoga." It consists of two sets of 26 postures over the course of 90 minutes in a room heated to 105 degrees with 50% humidity.
I have certainly benefitted from it in many ways, the most important being the practice of awakening via the moving center.
It has also further enlightened me on the importance of the body-mind-soul connection.
I have really begun to understand how what you put into your body/mind and how you care for your body/mind, has a dramatic effect on your ability to be more present.
But, it's not just your moving center that needs attention. It's important that you be balanced in all four of your centers: instinctive, moving, emotional, and intellectual.
That's what this video is all about...being balanced in your four centers. I hope you find it beneficial.

You have a physical essence (body and mind) and a spiritual essence (soul). In the physical world, we are multitudes. We have many hundreds of roles we play throughout our lives. Some roles are brief. Some last a lifetime. They are vast.
Yet, spiritually we are One. One consciousness, one awareness.
We must shift from living from the ego to living from the soul.
When this shift occurs, when you infuse your physical essence with your spiritual essence, your life becomes sacred.
If you can live your life from the perspective that you have the light and love of God coursing through your veins, inhabiting every cell of your body, guiding you in your thoughts and actions, it will change how you perceive the world and your conscious role in it. It will transform your life in ways you never thought possible.
The easiest way to tap into your spiritual essence is through being present. However, if you find that to be difficult, try the following. Tell yourself,
The light and...
Can you find joy in suffering?
Without suffering, we would not know joy and compassion.
Occasionally we experience real suffering, such as the passing of a loved one.
Yet, in the midst of our suffering, we can find joy, and we can still connect with our loved ones for the truest part of them, their soul, never dies.
I hope you find my video helpful in your desire to live with presence, intention, peacefulness, and joy.
